We love hidden gems. Avoid large crowds. Shoulder seasons for popular destinations (schedule permitting). We like to travel slowly, instead of rushing through destinations.

We hate overly scheduled trips. We (ahem, me) put a lot of thought into our itineraries, but don’t book much beyond plane tickets & accommodations.

We intersperse our trips with relaxation and adventure. While you won’t find us rafting in class V rapids, you will find us jumping off a mountain for fun. An 8 hour grueling hike? Sign us up!

Chain hotels are not for us. Cute b&bs, boutique hotels or Airbnb any day.

As far as spend goes, our trips fall in the mid- to high range. While I love a good deal, I also like to travel well. We balance our splurges with points and miles wherever we can.
